Typhoon 2m Slope and Electric Versions
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
RCRCM have done it again. The Typhoon is yet another very impressive design that continues their line of high performance mouldies. Able to fly in a wide range of conditions, the Typhoon is equipped with a full house complement of ailerons, rudder, elevator and flaps, all the features of a larger 3m plane yet in a smaller, more affordable 2m package. Able to perform leisurely aerobatics or be made into a hair-raising, jaw-aching rocket by the addition of ballast, yet it will slow down to hand-catch speed for landings. The two piece wing joins to the fuselage with a generous, solid carbon joiner and features top driven, live bottom hinged control surfaces. Control horns are factory fitted and raised fairings enclose the horns to create a clean, efficient wing. Underneath the wing, the servo bays are already cut and raised servo covers are supplied to allow a wider choice of servos to be used. Fuselage is carbon but plenty of glass and kevlar keep the nose area strong and 2.4ghz friendly. The slope version features a slide on nose cone which provides access to tray area for your battery and receiver with carbon rods already in place to connect your servos to. Flip the fuse upside down and removing the nose cone reveals a massive 20mm ballast tube for the bigger days. The E-fuse has an extended, wider 34mm nose, with a larger canopy to allow bigger Lipos to be used. To leave the nose area clear for your power system, the E-fuse has a unique servo bay in the side of the fuse that will fit both elevator and rudder servos and comes complete with a servo cover. A rear servo hatch in the tail also allows access to tail linkages or allows a small servo to be mounted closer to the tail. The elevators on both fuses are full flying and plug into the tail with carbon and steel joiners. In fact the wing saddle and tail area are exactly the same on both fuses so now you can easily have two models, allowing you to fly flat field or at the slope when there is no wind, then quickly swap fuses for when the wind picks up. The Typhoon is supplied with basic hardware and even CNC timber frames for mounting wing servos. Falcon Gliders can also supply wing, fuse and tail bags, quality Eneloop battery packs and hardware upgrades in case you want something a little stronger than the standard parts. Brass ballast slugs are available and we now also supply wiring harnesses to speed up your build and get you in the air sooner. Want to look after your Typhoon and avoid hangar rash or damage on the way to the slope? Take a look at our Plane Quiver 68" bags or Back Packs. The Typhoon is a real all-rounder. Breaking down into a package that will fit on the parcel shelf of most cars means this plane can go with you everywhere and we know you will love flying this model as much as we do.
