Looking for a larger high performance sailplane, but find the typically larger price-tag daunting?

Falcon Gliders is excited to announce the Osprey, a fully molded 3.2m span high performance sailplane, suitable for slope or flat field soaring, but without the high price-tag.

But don't think the low price-tag means poor quality. The build, fit and finish are of high standard, and by working closely with the manufacturer, Falcon Gliders has ensured a strong sailplane suitable for Australian conditions.

The Osprey leaves little work for the owner to complete prior to flying and comes complete with all necessary hardware - and its good quality hardware too (so don't chuck it straight in the bin!). The cross-tail fuselage is full carbon kevlar, the rudder is skin hinged and gap sealed and the plug-in full flying stabilizer allows for quick and easy field setup. The nose canopy allows for easy and generous access to your radio gear and a beautiful laser cut servo tray is provided. A tow hook will need to be supplied by the owner and fitted into the fuselage if flat field soaring is to be attempted. Each model is completed with wing, fuse and tails bags included.

The two-piece wings are full carbon with carbon D-box and are typical glass/balsa/carbon construction with a full carbon spar. A range of servos are easily fitted and the flap servos are designed to be mounted on the servo cover for super easy and slop free setup (but can also be traditionally mounted if desired).

The Osprey fuselage also lends itself to easy conversion to electric. The bell-crank pocket means servos are easily mounted in the tail with the minimum of fuss (some modification to the bell-crank required) and two servos are easily accommodated. The canopy arrangement means motor installation is simple and offers excellent access for battery change-outs on the field.

A wide range of colors are available and custom orders are accepted.

The Osprey really is a breakthrough in performance per dollar. It represents truly great value for the pilot wanting to move up to this level of performance in a sailplane.
